Terms of Use
Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]
These terms are an agreement between you and [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us"), who runs Lunchbreak at lunchbreak.cc. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Lunchbreak.
1. Who can join
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract in India.
- You must sign up with a work email that your employer gave you and that you are allowed to use. Do not use someone else's email.
- One person, one account. You may not join if we have banned you before.
2. Your profile
- Use your real first name, real age and a recent photo of yourself.
- Do not include phone numbers, social handles, your company name, or anyone else's personal details in your profile.
- You keep ownership of what you post. You let us store it and show it to other users as the app describes, only to run Lunchbreak. This ends when you delete it or your account.
3. How to behave
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, insult or intimidate anyone, on or off Lunchbreak;
- send sexual content without clear consent, or share anyone's intimate images;
- impersonate someone, or misrepresent your age, identity or relationship status;
- ask for money, sell anything, recruit, promote a business, or run scams;
- screenshot, record, copy or share other users' profiles or messages outside Lunchbreak;
- use Lunchbreak to find, track or contact your colleagues against their choice, or to get around a block or a hide;
- post anything unlawful under Indian law, including content that is obscene, defamatory, hateful, or harmful to children;
- scrape, automate, overload or break the service, or access accounts that aren't yours.
4. Safety
We verify that each person has access to a work email. We do not run background or criminal checks, and we can't guarantee anyone's identity or intentions. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and arrange your own travel. Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe from the chat menu, and contact the police (112) in an emergency.
5. Reports, removal and bans
We review reports and may remove content, pause or delete accounts, and ban people who break these terms or the law, with or without notice. A banned account cannot sign up again. If you think we got it wrong, write to the Grievance Officer (see the Grievance page).
6. Your employer
Lunchbreak is not affiliated with your employer, and your employer has no access to your account. Whether you may use a work email for personal sign-ups, and your workplace's rules on relationships at work, are between you and your employer.
7. The service
- Lunchbreak is free. We may change, pause or stop features, or the whole service, at any time.
- Lunchbreak is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Users are responsible for what they post and send.
- The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the conduct of any user, on or off Lunchbreak, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to ₹1,000.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Privacy → Delete my account. We may end your account if you break these terms. Sections 4, 6 and 7 continue after your account ends.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in [CITY] have jurisdiction. Please write to the Grievance Officer first; most problems can be fixed that way.
10. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will show a notice in the app before the change applies. Using Lunchbreak after that means you accept the new terms.
